5 days 4 nights Charity and Social Trip

These social programs which are giving great experience for the student, the student will become to volunteer to help poor communities to increase and repairing their lifestyle such as how to keep their own culture, save the environment to get suitable healthy, teach the kids how to speak English and build the house for the poor family.

Nagari Sungai Pinang is one of nagari (nagari is village territory in Minangkabau Area) in West Sumatra Province, exactly location are Koto XI Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan Regency. Nagari Sungai Pinang represents a small village with 1850 persons and majority of them are fisherman, Typology area is a bay in west coast of Sumatra and behind of the village are hills of conservation forest. A part from fisherman, the people have another job as farmer in paddy field. About local communities, in Nagari Sungai Pinang the peoples have not healthy standard. For example, most of them have not toilet at home and using the beach as toilet. Education for them is very big problem because most of them are poor family and they couldn’t give suitable education for their children, also of low education they don’t know how to keep their environment that will be help them to present nice future for their next generation.

Day 1 / Welcome in West Sumatra

Arrive on airport directly going to location about 90 minutes, arrive on location (Nagari Sungai Pinang, about this location just see at www.mandehtourism.com) there be welcoming ceremony by art traditional local group (you will allowed entry location if you already pass this ceremony) . Tent preparations for your home along you are in program and introduce session with a surprise game, continue activity with listening Coral Reef Presentation by with Patrimony Keepers (a NGO that concern in environment, culture and humanity social) and build subtract plantation. Rest and visit the village for introducing area. Interact with local communities to adapt. At night, look at art performance by local professional group (Randai, dance and music traditional).L.D

Day 2 / Be a teacher and be a part to save environment

Go to elementary school teaching students how to speak English (indoor education), after indoor education, we invite the students go to Manjuto Beach for the drawing contest and Join with Patrimony Keepers Team to do replanting coral reef program in Manjuto Beach, most of coral reef population in Indonesia are reduction because many reason i.e. Coral Trading, Illegal Fishing, Material Building, Tourism etc. So, be a part to save coral population is our responsible.  In the afternoon, follow sport activity with the youths. At night, you will get traditional dance and music lessons by Baringin Lawik Art Group. B.L.D

Day 3 / Build the house for the poor family

Build the house for the poor family, all of you will join with the local builder and you will build from begin till finish. Most of peoples here have not suitable house, we will build a simple house but have healthy standard and its will be a great present for them because to have a suitable house is their dream.  In the afternoon clean the beach program with local communities and kids (with the kids you’ll have a fun games). At night, times for result of your lesson traditional dance and music on the stage with a lot of peoples are watching your performance and separating ceremony. Volunteer Program Certificate is given by Patrimony Keepers Team. B.L.D

Day 4 / Visit Gibbon Sanctuary and Relax Day

Go to Gibbon Sanctuary (Kalaweit Program, just visit www.kalaweit.org) to see Gibbon rehabilitation process at Marak Island and go to Bintangor Island (a empty island) to have relax time such as swimming, snorkeling and explore the wonderful island. In the afternoon going back to Padang by boat and shopping time in Padang traditional market. At night, farewell party in hotel. B.L.D

Day 5 / Sayonara

End of program, we will arrange you till departure process in the airport. Thanks you for trust us and sayonara. Depend of departure time, we will provide meals as needed.
